Janata Dal United spokesperson KC Tyagi shifted the blame of his party's disappointing performance in the Bihar polls on former ally Chirga Paswan. "He's burnt his house and caused damage to us too," Mr Tyagi said hours after almost conceded defeat attributing party's loss of ground to the coronavirus pandemic and its disastrous economic consequences. The Lok Janshakti Party, or the LJP, managed to bag just one seat after leading in some places through the day. The JDU attacked the former partner in state's National Democratic Alliance saying Mr Paswan's actions were nothing short of suicide, and were also eating into his party's vote share with clever choice of candidates. They will have to pay for this political hara-kiri, Mr Tyagi said.
