Chiranjeevi meets EC over symbol issue

Telugu superstar and the chief of newly formed Prajarajyam party Chiranjeevi met the Election Commission on Monday seeking a common symbol for his party. Chiranjeevi submitted a memorandum to the Commission and requested amending the concerned rules. As per the rule for recognition of state political party, the party has to secure six per cent votes and also should have two MLAs in the assembly. Only then a political party can get a common symbol.
