Jharkhand government's resolve to intensify mining in Saranda Forest is posing danger to habitat of elephants. Thousands of trucks leave Chiriya Mines located right in the heart of Saranda everyday. "If we had so many mines in Punjab, we would have been minting gold," said Sunder Singh, a truck driver from Punjab.
