Chit-fund scam: Cops lathicharge protesters in Kolkata
Student protestors, demanding action on the Saradha chit-fund scam, clashed with the police in Central Kolkata today. The protestors, who are from the student wing of the Socialist Unity Centre of India, were marching from College Street towards the Writers' Building, the secretariat building of the West Bengal government, where prohibitory orders are in place.
