Chittoor Bears the Brunt of November Rains in Andhra Pradesh
Chittoor district in southern Andhra Pradesh is one of the worst-hit by the rains that battered south India. So far, 28 people are believed to have died. District Collector Siddharh Jain said, "Half the year's rainfall was recorded from November 8 to 23. Agricultural loss is still being estimated, but so far the damage in other sectors is estimated at over Rs. 200 crore."
