Cinema halls in several parts across the country reopened from today but with COVID-19 protocols in place. They were shut for the last seven months. The halls will operate on 50 per cent seating capacity and shows will be much lesser in most places only between 12pm and 8pm. From contactless transactions to PPE kits with armrest and back covers to UV sterilised food items, all arrangements are being made for movie-goers. However, there are no new releases in theatres this week. Several old films will be re-released. At a cinema hall in Delhi only four tickets had been sold for a morning show where 150 seats were available.
