Clash During Strike Called By Students' Body SFI Across Bengal Universities

A clash broke out between members of Trinamool Congress and the left student wing All India Democratic Students' Organisation in Siliguri during a students' strike called by SFI in all universities across West Bengal. The strike is called against the recent Jadavpur University incident.

West Bengal Education Minister Bratya Basu was allegedly attacked by members of the Students' Federation of India (SFI) and the All India Students' Association (AISA) at Jadavpur University on Saturday. The protestors, demanding immediate student union elections, gheraoed the minister, vandalised his vehicle, and shattered its windscreen.
