UCC In Uttarakhand | UCC In Uttarakhand | After pushing the the Uniform Civil Code notification, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in an exclusive interview to PTI said, "Security for those in live-in relationship is our big priority." "After India's independence, Syama Prasad Mukherjee, Deendayal Upadhyaya and all the founder members of the party since the time Jan Sangh, this has been part of basic principles of the party," Dhami said after unveiling UCC in the Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand on Monday became the first state in the country to implement the Uniform Civil Code with the ruling BJP fulfilling a major commitment made ahead of the 2022 Assembly polls. "Under PM Modi's leadership, the decisions of the party which were taken...what we believed that we want to work for the people of the country whether from the time of Jan Sangh or the BJP - all those decisions are being fulfilled under PM Modi's leadership," CM Dhami said.
