Coal-gate: Congress, BJP open talks; deadlock remains
With the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) embroiled in a battle over the coal block allocation controversy, the Monsoon session of Parliament has, till now, been completely paralysed. However, communication channels to resolve the issue continue to remain open between the two parties after Congress President Sonia Gandhi spoke to senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj over the phone earlier this week.
