Coal scam has taken joy out of Congress's Karnataka win: expert
Aditi Phadnis, political editor of Business Standard, tells NDTV Profit that the Congress desperately needed a reason to cheer and the big electoral win in Karnataka was just that. But the ignominy of the 3-hour long hearing in the Supreme Court on the coal scam has taken all the joy out of it. Karnataka needs good governance after 5 years of BJP's chaotic rule, but with the intra-party factionalism, the jury is still out on whether the Congress can deliver.
