An ALH Dhruv Mark 3 helicopter of the Indian Coast Guard crashed in Kerala's Kochi today. The incident happened during a test flight by pilots of the maritime law enforcement force. Everyone on board the helicopter are safe. The chopper's rotors and airframe were damaged. It was at around 25 feet above the ground when it made a forced landing. The fleet of ALH Dhruv choppers has been grounded since March 8 after a navy chopper met with an accident off the coast of Mumbai. The helicopter was being tested to resume operations of the grounded Dhruvs of the Indian Coast Guard.
