Coimbatore accused get life terms
Syed Ahmad Baasha, the controversial founder-president of the Al Umma, was given a life sentence for his role in the Coimbatore blasts of 1998, in which 58 people were killed. Al umma general secretary, Mohammed Ansari has been sentenced to two life terms that will run concurrently while the propaganda secretary of the banned outfit Mohammad Auzir has been awarded four life terms.
