"The law is very clear on it (demolitions of illegal structures)... the commissioner, who is a bureaucrat; not the mayor, not the president of the local BJP... (has to) decide a structure is illegal," says Sanjay Hegde, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court, on the demolition drive in Jahangirpuri.
