Compensation denied to J&K quake victims
Almost six months after the earthquake devastated Kashmir, over a dozen families are still looking for the dead bodies of their family members killed in the quake. What is worse, the government refuses to accept that they are dead. They say that there will be no compensation for them till they have death certificates for their late relatives.
