"Complete Insincerity": Abhishek Singhvi On PM's Bengal Campaign Amid Covid
Prime Minister Narendra Modi met top central government officials via video conference to discuss the deadly second wave of the coronavirus pandemic and the national vaccination drive. The meeting came amid the opposition's criticism over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's involvement in the Bengal election campaign as the country lurches from one grim Covid milestone to another. Congress leader Abhishek Singhvi tells NDTV: "When you have the PM who has a Covid meeting in the evening and in the earlier part of the day, he had these massive crowds about which he was bragging, I think there is complete insincerity, hypocrisy and double-facedness about the whole optics".
