Concerns over safety of school vans
Four children were killed and eight injured when a school van caught fire on Monday afternoon. The issue is the illegal use of LPG cylinders in cars which is cheaper than CNG though it is not yet clear whether the van carrying the school children was authorised or not. Officials from Millat School say they have constantly encouraged parents to use the school bus instead of private operators.
