Weeks after BBC aired a two-part documentary, "India: The Modi Question", the British broadcaster's office in Delhi saw a "survey operation" by the Income Tax Department. A similar action also took place simultaneously at the BBC's Mumbai offices. Reportedly, the income tax department's "surveys" were part of an investigation into alleged tax evasion by BBC. As news spread, onlookers and media crews gathered outside the BBC office at central Delhi's Kasturba Gandhi Marg and at Santa Cruz in Mumbai. The surprise checks immediately saw political reactions. The Congress called it "intimidation tactics." (Video credit: PTI)
