Congress Backs Palestine, Silent On Hamas: Strategy Or Oversight?
Even as Israel continues with its retaliation on Hamas, fighting for control of the Gaza border, the discussion around the war has taken a different political turn in India. While Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday was quick and steadfast in calling out the attack as an act of terror while expressing full solidarity with the people of Israel, the Congress party's Working Committee reaffirmed its support for the Palestinian cause. This brings us to the important questions we are asking, was the Congress party's mention of just Palestine in its statement a strategy or an oversight?
