Congress, BJP Clash Over Paddy Procurement In Punjab
The paddy procurement process in Punjab has witnessed significant delays this year. Despite favourable weather conditions, the pace of harvesting has slowed down due to almost 90% of the procured crops being stuck in mandis (state-run agricultural markets), and private rice millers refusing to store government paddy. The issue has also led to a BJP-Congress face off.
