A caste conundrum is playing out in southern states. Congress' caste push and caste survey has become an integral part of the Congress party's politics, especially in the south of India. The Karnataka cabinet has accepted the caste survey report. While Telangana Congress-led government has implemented the SC subcategorization, this is the first state government to do that.
