Congress Has Not Wiped Out BJP, Says Seshadri Chari
Seshadri Chari, senior BJP leader, says political parties across the board have lowered the standard the campaigning over time. He says all parties have lost "precious time" by indulging in mud-slinging at one another instead of tackling important issues. On the poll results in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, he says Congress has not been able to wipe out BJP. "Sure, it is a defeat for BJP, but that does not mean Congress has wiped BJP out." On Ashok Gehlot saying PM Modi lowered the standards of campaigning, Mr Chari said even the Congress did not "cover itself with glory."
