Congress' Shashi Tharoor Expresses Concern Over Atrocities On Minorities In B'desh

Shashi Tharoor | On Bangladesh issue, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on November 29, said that EAM Jaishankar must come to the parliament and address the issue. While addressing the media, he expressed concerned for the adverse situation of the minorities in Bangladesh. Following this, he asserted that all the minorities should get democratic righths in their countries. "If the government has something to say on behalf of the Foreign Ministry, it would be good if S Jaishankar comes to Parliament and tells us. We have called a meeting of the External Affairs Committee on December 11 to know the details about Bangladesh. We are concerned about whatever is going on in Bangladesh...all minorities should get democratic rights in their country," said Shashi Tharoor.
