Congress should clarify Imran Masood's remarks: Akhilesh Yadav to NDTV

As a controversy raged over arrested Congress candidate Imran Masood's hate speech, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that the party needed to issue a clarification for those remarks. Speaking to NDTV, Mr Yadav also said there was a need for the Congress to carefully look into the credentials of its candidates, adding that a clarification, especially from party vice president Rahul Gandhi's end, would send out a secular message ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.
