"Congress Tried To Delay, Sabotage Water Infra Work": BJP's Gajendra Shekhawat
Jal Shakti Minister and three-time MP from Rajasthan Jodhpur Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said the Centre has plans to build infrastructure to ensure sustainable availability of water in the desert state, and has designed water-driven schemes. "But the state government did not work with us. They were not in tune. They tried to sabotage and delay this programme. They did not agree to clearing a budget," Mr Shekhawat told NDTV. "The Congress knew if this good infrastructure came, they would not come to power in Rajasthan for 50 years," he added.
