Corporate style pay hikes for bureaucrats
Can the pay hikes of our bureaucrats be linked to their performance? The Indian Institute Of Management in Ahmedabad was commissioned to look into this very question by the Sixth Pay Commission. The commission wants the raises to be done in a corporate way and this means babus, right from Raisina Hill downwards, may now only get a hike, if they deserve it.
