Court stays demolition of old mosque

The 550-year-old Rani Sipri mosque in the walled city of Ahmedabad has been given a new lease of life by the ASI and Gujarat High Court. The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation wanted to demolish a part of the mosque to widen a road but the ASI has said an emphatic no.
