A third wave of the coronavirus is "inevitable", the government's top scientific adviser said on Wednesday, warning that vaccines will need to be "updated" to deal with the new strains. Almost all states have a positivity rate of over 5 per cent. Goa is the worst hit, with a positivity rate of nearly 50 per cent, Haryana has a 37 per cent rate, Bengal has 33 per cent and Delhi has 32 per cent. As the oxygen crisis continues, the Supreme Court on Wednesday set a deadline for the centre's oxygen plan.
