Will India's 2nd Covid Wave Be Less Deadly? Many States See Surge
The central government has acknowledged that parts of India are appearing to enter a second wave of Covid-19. Over 28,900 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. Maharashtra, Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu collectively account for 71 per cent of new infections. Maharashtra alone accounts for over 61 per cent cases. It is not yet clear, however, if the second wave will be less deadly.
