Covid Cases Low Today, But Government Flags Concern
Covid cases may have touched a 147-day low today, but the government has flagged a concern in north Indian states. Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and even Punjab, Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh have a 'R' value above 1 indicating a growth trajectory in cases. If 'R' value crosses 1, it indicates that each person with Covid is infecting at least one more. The government has also warned of a possible rise in cases in Himachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
