Over 500 Children Orphaned By Covid In Rajasthan, Many Struggle To Avail Government Aid

Over 500 children have been orphaned by the Covid pandemic in Rajasthan and the state government is working towards providing rehabilitation packages for them. But in many cases, the cause of death has not been attributed to Covid which will make it difficult for the children to access any government help. Many college students have also lost their parents but since they are over 18 they too may not be covered by the state's relief scheme. These students, most of whom have taken loans to treat their Covid positive parents but were unable to save them, now stare at a bleak future.
