The US national health agency is studying the effects of long Covid on people who have recovered from the disease. A recent media report in the UK said about 1,40,000 residents in London have suffered from COVID-19 symptoms after contracting the disease amid warning of healthcare "gaps" that could leave them struggling to get support. People suffer symptoms such as fatigue, breathlessness and "brain fog" for 12 weeks or more. Many even lose their sense of smell and suffer from sleeplessness.
