PM Modi Flags UP Vaccine Wastage: Why Is It Happening?
At a virtual meeting with Chief Ministers on Wednesday amid a worrying spike in Covid cases in some states, Prime Minister Narendra Modi singled out Uttar Pradesh twice - while flagging low RT-PCR or gold standard covid testing and also while pointing out how UP is wasting 9.4 percent covid vaccines, much above the all-India average . While the covid numbers in UP are less than other states with the pandemic re-emerging, how is India's most populous state dealing with the twin vaccination and testing challenge on the ground?
