Tamil Nadu Launches Vaccination Drive, Doctors First In Line
Tamil Nadu launched the COVID-19 vaccination drive today with ten top doctors of the state among the first ones to get the shots. Dr Prathap C Reddy, who was the first to receive the Covishield dose in Apollo hospital's vaccine drive, talked about the relief that vaccination brought for him as well as the safety of the second vaccine, Covaxin, which is still under stage 3 clinical trials. Tamil Nadu aims to vaccinate around 6 lakh frontline health workers in the first phase.
