In Haryana's Mohali district, the 'adopt village for vaccination' drive has been receiving good response. The innovative step is the brainchild of Girish Dayalan, an IAS officer and deputy commissioner of Mohali. Under this scheme, the donors deposit the money in bank account provided by the district administration which later procures vaccine doses and use it for the vaccination population above 18 in rural areas. The deputy commissioner and his five colleagues are leading by example and have donated Rs 1.78 lakh for the entire population of Masol village.
