The Indian Medical Association has questioned the centre's push for Patanjali's Coronil, raising questions on the Health Minister's move to promote and declare that Coronil is useful in treatment of coronavirus. Yoga guru Ramdev on Friday released a research paper on what he called the "first evidence-based medicine for COVID-19 by Patanjali" - Coronil - in the presence of Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. He even claimed it had met the WHO standards. But the WHO denied any role and said that it has "not reviewed or certified the effectiveness of any traditional medicine for the treatment".
