West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi again, asking for COVID-19 vaccine supplies. She said the state needs two crore vaccines a month to ensure all adults are vaccinated by December. In another flashpoint between Bengal and the centre, the latter has said private hospitals are slow in buying vaccines and administering them. Private hospitals, however, say the system of purchase has changed three times in June, which affected supplies. Ms Banerjee has joined that battle as well.
