An Assam Rifles Colonel, his wife and son, and four soldiers were killed in an ambush by terrorists near the border with Myanmar in Manipur. The terror attack - one of the deadliest in the region in recent times - took place at 11 am in Manipur's Churachandpur district. Manipur-based terrorist groups People's Liberation Army and Manipur Naga People's Front have claimed responsibility for the attack. Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh Strongly condemn the cowardly attack on the convoy of the 46 Assam Rifles. He said the state forces are already on their job to track down the militants.
