Former Union minister and BJP leader V Muraleedharan has slammed the Kerala government for "not acting in a timely manner" over the Justice K Hema Committee report, which studied issues faced by women in the Malayalam film industry. Many women in the industry have gone public with allegations of sexual harassment against some of the well-known faces of Malayalam cinema, including actor and CPI(M) MLA Mukesh. "Mukesh must resign. It's a shame the state government chose to protect him. The minister who hid the Justice Hema committee report must also quit," Mr Muraleedharan said. He said what has come up is only a tip of the iceberg.
