Cracker sales have become the biggest casualty of inflation this Diwali season. With sky rocketing prices there are not many takers for rockets and many aerial fireworks. Sai is a class six student for whom Diwali has never been so disappointing as he could not buy many of his favourite crackers. The hike in the price of raw materials and labour costs in the fireworks industry have made crackers costlier by thirty to forty per cent.
