Cracks in US-Egypt policy?
At a time when the US is stepping up pressure on Egyptian president Mubarak for a political transition, now, a US envoy, Frank Wisner, who met with Egyptian President earlier this week, said that Mubarak's continued leadership is "crucial" for now, as Egypt heads into a transition to democracy.
