On The Realty Debate, we discuss how do you create clean cities in India? This subject has attracted huge attention in the past few months with the launch of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. As a matter of fact, households are the biggest source of garbage but there is no awareness on how to efficiently manage it. This is leading to a larger urbanisation issue where the landfills are running out of capacity. These landfills which in all the metro cities have reached the size of the 100 feet mountains are polluting our air and ground water at an unprecedented rate. How do we deal with the situation?
