Nearly a thousand farmers have committed suicide in Maharashtra's Vidarbha region this year in the face of repeated crop failures. But there are some who have chosen to fight back. Pushpabai Adhau's husband, a farmer in Gandhigram in Akola district, owns a five-acre plot of land.
