Cut in deposit, lending rates by banks unlikely: Central Bank of India
Malay Mukherjee, executive director of Central Bank of India, expresses disappointment at the RBI's decision to keep the cash reserve ratio unchanged. He also indicates that the system is not geared towards passing on a policy rate cut as there is little space for banks to cut deposit and lending rates just now.
