It is 2023 and we are celebrating India setting foot on the Moon. But as we all proudly look at this achievement with hope and excitement and wait for the next steps, there are still parts of our country living in centuries gone by. The mindset there is yet to catch up with 2023. The alleged killing of a Dalit man and the stripping of his mother by powerful men over the family's refusal to withdraw a 2019 case of sexual harassment in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar has turned into a political issue in the poll-bound state. The question now is - when will these atrocities and discriminations finally end?
