Dalit Scholar Anand Teltumbde's Arrest: Police "Adventurism"?
Anand Teltumbde, noted writer and academic, who was named by the Pune Police as an accused in the Bhima Koregaon case was arrested today in a 3:30-am sweep at the Mumbai Airport. Just hours later, the Pune Police had to release him after the court said his arrest was illegal. So did the Pune Police jump the gun on the academic's arrest? And does it have enough proof to go after the writer, academic and management professional who claims he was not even at the Elgar Parishad event of December 31, 2017?
