Dandiya in Kathakali land: Gujaratis celebrate Navratri in Kerala
It's the same beat, same colours and same bonhomie as the Gujaratis in Kerala celebrate Navratri. In the 1960s, more than 150 Gujarati families arrived in Thiruvananthapuram to set up businesses. Many of them have left now but those who remain keep up the spirit of the navratras.
