Tea gardens in Darjeeling are facing double trouble. Not only, it is getting affected by the agitation for a separate Gorkhaland but early monsoon is also threatening to affect the quality of tea. "Monsoon has ten to twelve days early. Though the quality is good, so far, in the long run the quality may get affected," said Sandeep Guring, Manager, Happy Valley Tea Estate. With no dry weather and only rain, the quality in some gardens is already suffering.
