The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has been one of the most successful campaigns of recent times, as the call for building toilets has been met with enthusiasm and action. But the daily generation of mountains of waste remains a hindrance towards building a Swachh India. Piles of garbage are strewn all over India. Plastic and its non-biodegradable nature remains an environmental and health hazard. But various schools and residential societies all over the country are setting examples in waste management, as their segregation and composting techniques are bringing in much needed gradual change.
