Very few people know that the Taj Mahal's foundation was first laid at Burhanpur in Madhya Pradesh but the Taj Mahal finally came up at Agra because of the problems in transporting the marble to Burhanpur. Now, there is a debate on where Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan's wife Mumtaz Mahal's body was kept before supposedly being entombed in Agra.
