'Decided To Spend More On Rural, Social, Infrastructure', Says Arun Jaitley On Budget
Addressing the media after presenting the Union Budget in the Parliament, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that the government's intention was absolutely clear - to work towards the welfare of agricultural and rural sectors. Instead of starting new policies, the Union Budget has focused on investing in existing policies, and hence, a huge amount of money and resources have been pumped into these sectors. Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have been encouraged by giving tax benefits, he said.
